Together with our online platform, we have professionally trained Legal Consultants one call away from dealing with any concern that you may have relating to deceased estates.
All you need to know to get started with the deceased estate process is right here on the Siyatec website.
The Master of the High Court who oversees the administration of deceased estates will require a nominated Executor to be assisted by a qualified person, usually an attorney, to administer any deceased estate with a value of more than R 250 000.00. The attorney will charge the estate or the family of the deceased a fee equivalent to 3.5% of the total assets of the estate.
For example if the deceased owns a house with a value of R 2 000 000.00 the attorney will charge a fee of R 70 000.00 as an estate fee. At Siyatec we charge a flat rate fee of R 21 000.00 as the estate fee.

Once the Online Consultation has been completed and supporting documents uploaded, a Legal Consultant will contact you within 24 hours.
At this point we may require further information from you to finalise the documents to be submitted to the Master for the issuing of Letters of Executorship. These documents are known as the Reporting Documents.
We will also give you directions for payment of the Initiation Fee.
Finally, arrangements will be made at your convenience for signature of the Reporting Documents.
Within 2 to 3 months after reporting the estate we receive Letters of Executorship from the Master.
Our Legal Consultants will then deal with the estate process in order to distribute the estate. It takes approximately 12 months to finalise an estate. This means that properties are transferred to the new owners, debts are paid and the heirs are paid out.
